Daylily
The popularity of daylilies has exploded in recent decades with the introduction of new cultivars of many different colors and shapes. Some cultivars are known for flowering over a longer period of time than the traditional varieties. Even when not in flower, the graceful, arching foliage is attractive in the landscape. Perhaps the best feature of daylilies is their tolerance of poor growing conditions, which has earned them a place in low-maintenance landscapes throughout the world.
