Angel's trumpet (Brugmansia)
Family: Solanaceae
This South American plant has become a favorite ornamental for tropical gardens and conservatories throughout the world. Its unmistakable hanging flowers produce a strong, sweet fragrance in the evening. It is a vigorous grower when given enough light, warmth, and moisture, and it roots very easily from stem cuttings. Most of the plants in cultivation are artificially produced hybrids, combining attributes of the six species in the genus. All parts of Brugmansia are toxic if ingested.
