Lime (Citrus latifolia)

Family: Rutaceae

Citrus latifolia is one of several important citrus crops for the world's markets. It is called Persian lime and Tahitian lime, but is simply marketed as Lime in many temperate countries. Other types of lime are produced by different Citrus species. Fruits of Citrus latifolia are borne throughout the year, making this an excellent fruit tree for home gardeners in the tropics.
