Talipot palm (Corypha umbraculifera)

The talipot palm has the largest flowering stalk of any plant, which may reach 8 meters above the crown of the palm and bear millions of flowers. The palm is massive, growing to 25 meters in height, and bears enormous leaves that may be 8 meters long. Although it is rare, it can be found in the world's major tropical botanical gardens. It is spectacular when in flower.

Cultivation: Large tree for USDA hardiness zones 10 to 11. Grows best in partial to full sun with moderate to high moisture.
