Crocus is a diverse genus of perennials that include some of the earliest springtime flowers and the latest autumn flowers. Flower color varies widely among species and cultivars, including shades of purple, blue, pink, yellow, white, and many multicolor forms. They can be grown in lawns, where their grasslike foliage is inconspicuous.
