Dahlias are spectacular flowering garden plants. They have been hybridized extensively, and today there are thousands of cultivars grown worldwide. With great variation in stature, Dahlias can fit into many different garden settings. Their most extraordinary diversity lies in their flowering heads, which can be found in nearly every color and shape imaginable. Most are excellent cut flowers.

Cultivation: Medium-sized to large perennial for USDA hardiness zones 9 to 11. Grows best in full sun with moderate moisture. May be grown as an annual in zones 3 to 8.
Size: Reaches 1' to 6' (30 cm to 1.8 m) tall with a spread of 1' to 3' (30 cm to 90 cm).
Flowering: Blooms from mid-summer through early fall.
