Pothos (Epipremnum pinnatum)

Family: Araceae

Pothos is one of the world's most popular houseplants, well suited to difficult indoor conditions and tolerant of neglect. It grows well in pots, hanging baskets, and mixed planters. Often marketed as Philodendron, it belongs to the small genus Epipremnum, native to southeast Asia and the Pacific islands. In the tropics and warm subtropics it is an aggressive, invasive vine that climbs to the tops of tree canopies. It spreads quickly and is difficult to eradicate once established.
