Globe amaranth is a bright, cheerful annual. It is native to Central and South America, but is best known in the summer gardens of the world's temperate regions. Several cultivars are available with colors that range from white to shades of purple, pink, and red. It is often grown in containers, sometimes mixed with other annuals.
