Ivy (Hedera helix)
Family: Araliaceae
Best known as a climbing outdoor plant, ivy is equally comfortable in a pot on a sunny windowsill. Although it is attractive on the walls of university buildings and in low-maintenance planting beds, it is notorious for escaping and overtaking natural areas. It should not be planted in areas where it is known to be invasive.
