The Hibiscus flower is often associated with the tropics, where an extraordinary diversity of cultivars have been bred for use in the landscape. A wide range of flower colors exist, and there are also many flower sizes and shapes that depart from the traditional Hibiscus form. Hibiscus rosa-sinensis cultivars are also appearing as potted plants in the flower trade.

Cultivation: Medium-sized shrub for USDA hardiness zones 9 to 11. Grows best in partial to full sun with moderate moisture.

Flowering: Blooms year-round or from late spring through mid-fall.
