Wax plant (Hoya carnosa)

This species is native to tropical and subtropical Asia. It is popular worldwide as an indoor flowering plant, where it grows and flowers enthusiastically when given plenty of light. In subtropical or tropical climates it can be grown outdoors in filtered light. Its waxy flowers are attractive and fragrant. Many cultivars are available, with variation in flower color and in leaf shape, size, and variegation.
