Ixora (Ixora coccinea)

Ixora is a common flowering shrub for tropical and subtropical gardens. It is a versatile landscape plant, growing well as a trimmed hedge or solitary shrub. Although it is generally easy to grow, it prefers mildly acidic soil and grows poorly in alkaline soil. Many cultivars are available with a wide range of flower colors and petal shapes.
