Easter lily (Lilium longiflorum)

The Easter lily is one of the most commonly cultivated lilies. They are best known as short-lived potted plants, propagated in large commercial greenhouses for springtime flowers. The flowers are large, fragrant, and ideal for indoors. After flowering these plants can be planted outdoors in many climates, where they will continue to bloom in the summertime each year.
