Four o'clock (Mirabilis jalapa)
Family: Nyctaginaceae
The four o' clock is a popular garden plant in nearly all climates. Its bright-colored, fragrant flowers are open during the evening and nighttime, closing in the early morning. The flowers are borne in shades of white, yellow, and pink, often with multiple colors on the same plant or within the same flower. This species self-seeds and can be very invasive from warm temperate climates through the tropics.
